What is MusicSUS?
MusicSUS connects you to local people you need to achieve your music dream. When you need someone -- another bandmate, a collaborator, a flyer designer, whoever! -- MusicSUS shows your posts to the right people, right now!
How is MusicSUS different from other sites?
In our experience most networking sites are graveyards full of stale posts and profiles. Social media can be great for growing a fanbase, but when you need to connect with someone local The Algorithm seldom delivers. MusicSUS shows you the most recent posts from your own community.
What kind of content can I post on MusicSUS?
MusicSUS allows you to post any kind of request or offering related to music. Do you need a new bandmate? Do you have rehearsal space available? Are you a venue accepting booking requests? Does your band have a show coming up?
What kind of content is prohibited?
Our goal is for MusicSUS to allow anything related to making music happen, especially getting people together to perform. We are still fine-tuning the site and determining what specifically we can accommodate so we will likely change over time. Please review our Code of Conduct.
Who can post on MusicSUS?
You can post on MusicSUS if you play any role in getting on the stage or in front of a mic:
- Musicians, whether you are an individual performer or part of a group.
- Venue Owners/Operators, wherever the music happens!
- Service Providers, instructors, gear technicians, flyer designers, or whoever!
What does the "SUS" stand for in MusicSUS?
"SUS" is short for Sign-Up Sheet!
What is the difference between a Flyer and a Sign-Up Sheet?
A Flyer is a simple announcement. A Sign-Up Sheet allows you to specify more details, create positions people can apply to, and communicate with prospective applicants using chat.
How do I create a Flyer or Sign-Up Sheet?
You can click the "Create" option from the main menu, or you can click any of the specific options from your Backstage.
